Cat Tien National Park Hiking & Cycling Experience

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City to Nam Cat Tien National Park

Start your journey with a pick-up from your hotel, where our guide and driver will transfer you to the bus station for your trip to Cat Tien National Park, a biodiversity hotspot and UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside, and upon arrival, take a short break before savoring a delicious local lunch. Afterward, check into your accommodation and attend a brief orientation about the park’s rules and the day’s itinerary.

In the afternoon, dive into the natural beauty of Cat Tien National Park, one of Vietnam’s largest biosphere reserves. Cycle through lush rainforests and diverse ecosystems, keeping an eye out for exotic bird species and unique plants. Return to the park’s headquarters for a rest, then prepare for an exciting Night Animal Watching tour. Using a spotlight, you’ll have the opportunity to see nocturnal wildlife like deer, civets, and other creatures that come alive after dark. After your adventure, enjoy a riverside dinner and unwind at your leisure.

Day 2: Adventure in Nam Cat Tien National Park

After breakfast, gear up for a day of exploration. First, we’ll visit the Crocodile Lagoon, home to the endangered Siamese crocodiles. From the park headquarters, you’ll bike through the jungle to reach the starting point of a trekking route. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including gibbons, langurs, and diverse bird species. Please be aware of snakes, mosquitoes, and leeches—especially during the rainy season—so be sure to bring suitable clothing and insect repellent.

After about an hour of trekking, you’ll arrive at Crocodile Lagoon (Bau Sau), a vast and peaceful area that spans 2,500 hectares during the rainy season. The lagoon is home to the rare Siamese crocodiles, which can be observed from a ranger station. For an even closer look, you may be able to take a boat ride around the lagoon. This is also a fantastic spot for photography, with stunning views of the lagoon and its wildlife. Enjoy a fresh, delicious lunch prepared by the park’s rangers, featuring locally sourced ingredients.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to the starting point of the trek, bike back to the park’s headquarters, and relax before heading to dinner.

Day 3: Nam Cat Tien National Park to Ho Chi Minh City

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before spending your morning at the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. Here, you’ll learn about the conservation efforts aimed at protecting gibbons, langurs, and other primates. Observe these fascinating creatures up close and discover the challenges they face in the wild. After your visit, enjoy free time to relax or take a final walk through the park.

Return to your accommodation for lunch, then in the early afternoon, we’ll board the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City. Once we arrive, our car will be waiting at the bus station to transfer you back to your hotel.
